Grivel Grivel 360 Ice Screw Easy Rack

The 360 Ice Screw from Grivel is great for tricky placements, behind pillars and for early season ice. Even if you love your current rack you will appreciate having one or two Grivel 360s on their rack. The design minimizes the amount of ice you have to clear to be able to turn the handle to drive the screw in. In fact, the 360 can be driven into a hole only slightly bigger than the diameter of the screw itself. As you would expect from Grivel the design is built for performance, with an ergonomic head and teeth with a sharp bite for speedy placing when time is key like crevasse rescue or steep ice. The finish is super-slick making it very difficult for ice to clog its core and the hanger can be clipped whatever the oriwntation. For efficient, compact racking and portability the handle folds fully away. Coloured handles help distinguish between lengths and each screw has a tip protector that can be attached to the handle during use and then replaced when removed by your second.

(If you typically use two ice clippers and bring 6-10 screws, you may want to consider 3-4 ice clippers and only racking 3-4 on each clipper. Otherwise, getting the 360 off the ice clippers is a bit slow.)
