Grivel Helix Screw

The Grivel Helix screw is the easiest and best ice screw at this price, and an excellent addition to any rack; with high strength, practical design and a symmetrical grip. The permanently fixed winding handle offers superior leverage on tough ice-climbs and is fantastic when using with cold hands or thick gloves. The symmetrical design, with the knob opposite the clipping hole, allows for easy racking, even several on the same carabiner. These are the easiest screws to place by far, as their really wide head lets you hold it comfortably in your hand and really push it into the ice, so it goes in first time, which is the only thing that matters when you're really pumped and gripped. The razor sharp teeth bite in even the hardest ice, the screws have reversed, hydrodynamic threads that increases their resistance against extraction for superior strength compared to any traditional screw and the inside of the screw clears ice cores with no problems. A protective cover keeps it from dulling or catching on clothing when not in use.
