The Grivel Belay Chain EVO is different to traditional daisy chains in that each of its loops are rated to 23 kN. Classic daisy chains are not rated to the standard CE value of 22 kN, and their pockets never exceed a rating of 2 kN as they are designed for static loading only. This makes a traditional daisy chain the weak point in any belay system. The Grivel Belay Daisy Chain eliminates this weak point entirely with a new standard of daisy chain that's fully rated to 23 kN at every point.
