The Edelrid Parrot is made over with high quality sheath yarns that remain after the production of other ropes. This upcycling process ensures that 95% of these leftover yarns are reused rather than discarded, which gives the Parrot great eco credentials. Furthermore, because this rope is made from a random selection of remaining yarns each batch comes out different. Please don't expect your Parrot to look exactly like the one in the photo!
The technique used by Edelrid to produce the Parrot results in no spliced yarns (just like with all Edelrid ropes) i.e. the sheath is produced 100% in one piece with no irregularities due to splicing. It therefore has all the characteristics of a normal Edelrid rope, but a unique identity.
