The BMC (British Mountaineering Council) is a massive governing body based in the UK, established to protect any and all climbing-related activities, from hill walking to ice climbing.
They supply amazing resources such as UKC and UKB, while constantly working hard to increase and protect access to all the amazing crags that the UK has to offer, as well as hosting crag clean-up events to keep crags magical.
The BMC also works to create a community for British climbers, hosting and sponsoring popular events such as the British Bouldering Championships (BBC's), the Kendal Mountain Film Festival and organising countless meets throughout the year, giving people a chance to meet and climb with other people from all over the country.
