This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch
more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.
Perfectly designed to be right at home when trad climbing, big walling, or multi-pitch climbing, the Scarpa Maestro Mid boasts superb performance when standing on tiny edges, offers enough flex for technical smears, and also offers all-important ankle protection.
The Maestro Mid is made up of an intricately-stitched 3 panel Eco Leather upper with air holes for comfort and long-term wear, alongside a full-length Janus 1.1mm plastic insert and IPC-Tension active randing system that offers your foot exaggerated support when the going gets tough. The Maestro Mid's FY last provides the shoe with a straight and slightly downturned shape, alongside its medium-to-low angle toe box which allows you to fit it either with a flatter toe position or a semi knuckled-up position of course depending on how you want the Maestro Mid to fit.
When it comes down to rubber, the Scarpa Maestro Mid features a 4mm Vibram XS Edge full-length sole combined with a 2mm XS Grip 2 heel underlay is very durable and sticky giving you the confidence to stand on glassy smears and tiny edges.
